OUR MISSION
CommQuest works to promote and improve alternatives for effective communication within families, teams and many other human relationships. The LET'S COMMUNICATE! Series

CommQuest is proud to offer a library of new, innovative, and original programs designed to address the growing demand for developing effective, violence-free, two-way communication. Our programs include techniques to improve listening, enhance conflict resolution, promote anger management, encourage conscious choice in action, and advocate appropriate consequences for poor choices.

CommQuest employs live and pre-recorded presentations for people of all ages. Original vignettes, lectures, interactive presentations, songs, games and fairy tales, and other theatrical productions authored and performed by professional educators/entertainers are the backbone of the services available to help participants understand relationships. Additionally, we emphasize that "silence is golden," as an encouragement to value the power of meditative quiet.

In our library or under development are:

  • Workbooks for continued enhancement and development of ideas and techniques gained during live presentations.

  • Cassette tapes, CDs, and other direct media that audience members can use to reinforce areas of interest.

  • A continuously updated list of books, articles, and other resources evaluated by our staff and catalogued according to age levels, for audience members to use in augmenting and reinforcing desired behavioral changes.

CommQuest is especially devoted to children!

People are constantly in search of excellent programs that reach youth. We all want an approach that grabs their attention, ignites their emotions, empowers their spirit, and changes their lives in a positive way. This desire for a program that can be fun, educational, entertaining and lasting is what CommQuest does with programs like "Keep Talking; We'll Listen," and "Let's Communicate With Our Kids." After two successful pilots of the flagship program of the Let's Communicate Series, schools are now calling CommQuest to be on a waiting list. Kids talk about the programs long after they end, and parents and teachers take pieces of the program home in whatever form is made available.

CommQuest has at its disposal a growing pool of speaker/entertainers. These are unusually gifted speakers who are definitely not "lecturers." All have extensive teaching backgrounds; most have advanced degrees in communication, education, health, or related fields; and some have published books, songs, stories, essays, radio and newspaper columns, and other materials.

All of the speakers tell meaningful stories, act and role-play, sing and play instruments, and/or engage the audience with humor. Each uses unique gifts to enlighten and "light up" the audience. The over-all approach is original, and each show is unique because it is tailored to the audience.

CommQuest presenters are available singularly or as a package. The length of presentations can be from two hours to two days (or more), depending on sponsor desires and resources. The program facilitators have headed up workshops for children and teens, parents and other adults, public and private school staffs, corporate workers and officials, medical professionals, military personnel, and more.
